Non third gen, but... V-10 Trans Am?

Okay, I know a guy who used to work at a Pontiac dealership. He says they had a prototype Trans Am with a V-10. I think he said it was a 2000. He also said he has pictures but I haven't seen them.

I don't believe him, but if anyone can prove this is true please do.
