Qustion about front ends.......

OK here goes. I've been fixing up my 92RS with the heritage package because it didnt come factory with it. Ive been looking at 92s so I get everything right but Ive been noticing differences in the front grilles. I've seen the ones that are body matched color and others like the late 80s models with the bowtie logo in the middle. Which is correct or am I just looking at the wrong cars?

The bowtie grille was used on '91-'92 Camaros with fog lamps (and yes, 1LEs too). Earlier ('85-'90) fog lamp grilles were all black and said "Camaro" in either silver or gold. The red or white bowtie grilles were a heritage package grille used on same colored cars. I'm not sure if they were standard or optional on the heritage cars. Ie: red cars got the red grille and black stripes, and white cars got the white grille and red stripes. All other heritage package cars got black grilles. The red and white bowtie grilles are quite expensive, and it would probably be a lot cheaper to paint a black grille if that is what you want.
