build sheet / option codes
build sheet / option codes
I have just purchased an 86 iroc, and one of the previous owners changed the console glove box cover. Does anyone know if the put more option code sheets somewhere else in the car?
You might find a build sheet or two if you tear out the interior, but it won't give you all (or even many) of the options. Dealerships can't get the codes that far back either. Your best bet is to start writing down everything that is in the car. Also look at a sales brochure for available options. Also look through the thirdgen rpo decoder list. Some options were only available with certain other options (ie, all 86 IROCs have both option code B4Z and Z28...). '86 was the last year without option groups, so no help there. You should be able to do pretty good at recreating most of the rpo codes. The only other option I can think of is finding and getting ahold of a previous owner who knows and cares.
