Will an 8 inch wide wheel fit under my 84 camaro?

Of course they did have 16x8 rims on practically the same car factory.

Yes, but if you run 255s in the rear without the 1/8" wheel spacers, you will rub on both sides on the inner fender. I used a hammer to fix the problem.

I'm using 16x8 wheels from a '88 GTA on my '84Z with 245-50VR16 tires and they fit perfectly (and look fine, too )
If you use aftermarket wheels, though, watch your offsets!
