Who REALLY knows 20th Anniversary T/As?

Hey guys, I am looking for some help here.. I am going to buy a '89 20th T/A tomorrow with under 3,000 miles on it. I've been wanting another Anniversary T/A and Ithink this will be a great compliment to my other (its soon to be stablemate)'84 15th Anniversary T/A http://www.execpc.com/~steveb/transa...ge2.html?18,10

Are there any special items to look for other than the press kit that the owner could have taken? I do know of the all the 20th badges. Is there anything signifcant that comes to mind? The car has Lexan tops not glass. Are these better or worse?

Again this car this car is like new and evrything appears to there. I would appreciate any info or tips you can pass my way.

thanks

Hi Check out this site
http://www.li.net/~rsalerno/ttafaq.htm

If it only has 3k miles I would make sure you get all the paperwork, owners Kit, Sunshades and milage in writing and that it's been properly stored.
How much are they asking?
with that milage I would expect it to go for $17,000 to $22,000

When dealing with Glass vs Plastic ttops, ultimately its a matter of personal preference. Glass are glass, they're heavy, fragile, etc. Lexan is light, durable, etc but they tend to get cracks inside the plastic. If you hold them up to sunlight you should be able to see if they're cracked. Even in cracked condition they wont leak unless they're cracked all the way thru. Also the Lexan are tinted darker, they're hard to see thru on cloudy days and at night, as where glass tops are somewhat more transparent.

Good luck.
