weight question

how much does a camaro with a 350 weigh (ballpark figure)? i have all cast iron parts right now. I bet my dad a dollar that a camaro with a 350 weigh's closer to 3000 than 4000. come on guys, make me a dollar richer...

This isn't really a history or restoration question since you aren't dealing with a stock drivetrain (no 350's till 87), so I'll lock this after this reply. Anyway, in stock trim the Sport Coupe was the lightest of the Camaros, and even considering the engine change, since the 350 and 305 are physically the same size, they should weigh roughly the same. So, theoretically the car would weigh under 3500 lbs, probably closer to 3200lbs.
The best way to know the weight of your car as it sits, is to drive it thru a weigh station or something to that effect to weigh it yourself. Locally we used to have a scrap yard with a scale for measuring scrap, that a few local car enthusiasts used to weigh their cars.
