How many were made?
How many were made?
Hi, I have a 1984 v8 5.0 Liter High-Output Trans Am that is cream with golden decals and wheels. My question is how many Trans Ams were made in 1984 with the cream and gold colors? I haven't really seen any so I figure they must be rare.

The cream color is actually one of the most avoided and it is about as common as any other. You may not see many because people tend to repaint them and for the most part try their hardest not to own cream colored T/A's. The topic of color has been brought up many times and the fact of the matter is, that it is not a big deal. Cars are not considered rare because of the color they are, they are rare because of the features.
84 was one of the best years for Firebird production, on the order of first or second highest. Consider that there were probably 30000-40000 T/A's made and the HO option was very popular. It is simply not that rare now. Look on the bright side though, our cars (check my sig) are going to be official classics in less than 3 years.

1984 Firebird - Daily driver, 305 LG4, 3.23 rear, T5 - Hurst short shifter, Edelbrock 600 CFM 1406 carb, Performer intake - Edelbrock Pro-Flow air filter, gutted cat, IROC 16x8 5 Spoke Wheels, AIWA bargain basement (from Sears of course) CD player, Eight-ball shift ****

johndoe13579: There's a 1984 beige/gold HO T/A near me, and i think the guy was asking $1200, which is way too high for that particular car's condition, but it's for sale if you need parts.. Located in North Carolina, got a 60's vette 327 V8 I think, interior needs work but might be a decent parts car. VIN is 270670.. one of the very last Van Nuys cars made that year. I have exterior pics of you need them.
Just thought I'd chime in on this since I also own a 1984 beige/gold.. not a Trans Am, but a Firebird S/E as shown in my signature.
