Restoring my 87 Formula-Should I paint the new fuel tank?
I'm putting a new fuel tank in my 87 Formula and I was wondering if it should be painted to inhibit rust formation. Any thoughts about this?
I bought this car new in October 86 so it's going to be around along time.

You should look at Eastwood products. They have a paint called "Tank Finish" It looks just like bare metal, but its paint. Just an thought. Good luck with your resto.

I would not think the color is not important considering no one would ever be able to see it with everything in the way. Paint would help...
