never been able to find out when they built these cars


if it was built in 82 wouldnt august have been for the 1983 model year ?

08E means it was built the 5th week of August 1982. Since the 5th week only had two days in it, the 30th and 31st, you know it was built on one of those days. The 83’ model year started production in October. Actually, the 82 model year was from November 81 to September 82.
