It's 2006. The car in question is at least 15 years old. There are already 2007 Mustangs driving around town that are completely customized. Even new Mustangs sitting on dealerships lots have already got dealer added emblems and whatnot. Cheesy peel and stick add-on's aren't something that just came out with the plastic hoodpins the neighbor punk stuck on his honduh. 'Special Edition' badges, Cadillac wreaths, Elephant hood ornaments, etc have been the cash cow for JCWhitney for years. Likewise I can go to any shop in town and have various vinyl emblems made and put them on anything, it doesn't mean they're original equipment.

If an emblem was offered at any time from GM it would have a part number assigned to it, and it would be in the parts and illustration manuals.

drew, hi there, maybe you got me wrong, or i got you wrong i dont know,
but no, i dont know about the badge/decal issue in question

nor do i actually care about it enough to have posted/brought this back just over that issue alone,

i was actually just wanting to find out from him about this 82 he had found but now that i read the thread again i realize that i think he says that it was a car he found in a yard and not his own, hmm

as far as emblems adhesive on the sail panels or whatever, im sure it was just normal paint like they were from factory, or maybe something else somone stuck on them

ive never heard of or seen any 82 with emblems instead of the thin decals/paint, on the sail panels and hood front and such

afaik anything but that would be non-original/correct

who knows

just to reiterate= i just wanted to know about this 82 he found, thats the only reason why i made this thread here, because i hate to hear of yet another 82 83 84 bird that got wasted probably,

thats all

mission failure i guess :P

hum

thanks
