Rarest of the rare.....2 of 4 88 1LE's possibly found.

A friend of mine went from NJ to TX to buy back one of the 602 67 Camaro Z28's (488 left) from a rich guy he sold it to years ago. The seller has alot of cars sitting in an airplane hanger. Well, when he was in there looking at his car before he bought it, the seller showed him 2 Third Gens sitting under covers. They were both mint/low mile, one had extremely low miles and the plastic on the seats still from the dealer, etc. These cars both had no power anything, no radios IIRC, no A/C, no T-Tops, etc. I *think* one was a 350, I will ask him again. The seller claimed that he bought them new and they were 2 of the 4 test car 1LE's GM did in 88 and knew everything about them. He actually took them out and let my friend drive one too. They've really been sitting all these years. One is red and the other is black and he said they looked like a stock IROC-Z on the outside, stripes and all.

I'm going to ask my buddy to e-mail this guy asking for pictures and window stickers, etc. IMO this a true possibility that the rarest of the rare Third Gens have been found, but I do wanna see proof first before I claim that LOL.
