I recently acquired an 82 Camaro, It is in need of some work. I am thinking about making it a restoration project. It has a 2.8L and 4 speed trans. I would rather convert it to a 5 speed trans. and possibly change the look to a Z28 and upgrade the engine size.

The body is in decent shape for its age but the interior is very beat. I know that I would be better off trying to find an actual Z28 but for the price I paid for the Camaro I could not pass it up.

Any Suggestions?

 

maybe if you find a z/28(maybe a 5L h.o whit manuel trans) whit no title you could switch parts from the donor cars but well you going for a extreme swap i dont think is really worth it.read they have many Tread about engine Swap(v6-to-v8)if you mean that by upgrade the size of the engine. i would keep this car for parts...just my 2cents
