Look on the radiator support. There should be a 3"x5" stamped tag with all the relevant codes. 84's didn't have RPO sheets, and searching for a build sheet would probably be time wasted.

???? What do you mean 84's didn't have RPO sheets? I have one inside my center console under the lid.

nothing odd or are about an 84 with 305 and rear disks, althoughless common in 84 than in other years, especially 85-up

good luck

I believe that not all had the SPID sheet... It may have been a mid year addition.

Is the SPID sheet the sheet I am talking about? The one inside my center console, on the lid?

Yes thats the one... From 84 - 91 they were in the center console, starting mid 1991 they moved them to the rear compartment.

Check the vin with the dealer. There were racaro trans ams during the early 80's that had ws6 and ws7 packages with disc brakes and high out put engines. They are more rare then your basic ta. I know my brother had a 83 racaro. He wrecked it and parted it out. I have the rear end and the inside panels for the trunk and back seat. The rear in the racaro is posi with disc brakes and I think it's 8.5

The Recaro used the same axel as other Trans Am's and Camaros. It should be the 7.5" in 82 & 83 and 7.625" in 1984 & up. I think the Borg & WArner axel was introduced in 1985, in which case it would be a 7.75" Ring Gear.

The WS6 from its inception in the late 70's thru 1984 or 1985 was a performance handeling package that included the Sway bars, REar Disc brakes, different shocks, springs, larger standard wheels. The WS7 was identical to the WS6 except it had rear Drum brakes.
