Has anybody registered their third gen as a historical car in California yet? Has anybody received any hassel fron the police or anything. I have an 85 Trans Am and I'm debating whether I want to do it in three years or not.

Where in CA do you live? I would think a car has to be older than 1985 to classify as historical.
Hmm... whats this historical car registration about? My car is an 1984 so if theres some advantage to historical registration, I might consider it.
in california, if your car is 25 years or older, its eligible to be registered as a historical car. you get a historical license plate and not worry about passing smog. the only draw back is that it can only be driven to and from a place to get serviced and in public or club events such as parades.
my car has 3 more years before it can qualify, i was wondering if anybody with and 82 f-body registered theirs as a historical car and are they able to drive it around with out getting pulled over because its a historical car.
