HELP my hatch is not operable
I think this may be the wrong place for this but.....
As i am swaping engines in my car the button for my hatch is not usable because its electric and theres no power going through the car. To make matters worse the lock on the hatch is broken so i can't use the key. And to top it all off i have a hinged lid that covers the cargo recession in the far back of the car where the manual release is and I left it open for that reason but my genius brother opened it to air it out one day for me and he decided to close the lid and close the hatch.
Is there any other way to access the manual release because i can't open the lid to access it with the hatch closed.
If any of you know a way around this I would appreciate you sharing it.
Thanks

problem with that is this is a side terminal battery and Its DEAD GONE DEAD i have tried charging it. with no luck
All the other batteries we have are top terminal with clamps whereas the TA has bolts. I am not running out to the store as its not worth it as the car is 1400 miles away and i m in school

What I have done is take a 14volt cordless drill battery and figure out the polarity and then hook it into the Cigarette Lighter, (get a dongle). The other way is to hook up at the battery terminal, keep in mind that the wires go to the starter first, you might be able to isolate the wire needed and then pop the hatch.
Good luck...
I accept no responsibility if you do it wrong.
