Does anybody restore seat belts?
I would like to have my seat belts redone, new clean belts in the old mechanism.
I’ve done some Google searches but can’t find anything. I did found some references to federal seat belt regulations and fear that no one restores them because of the liability.
Do anyone have experience with getting seat belts restored? Or have any better ideas? I’ve been looking through local wrecking yards but havn’t found anything good.

Try here. They sell new old stock seatbelts for 3rd Gen. cars.

I don't know anything about these guys except that they have been restoring musclecar seat belts since the early '80s.

the company is supposedly very good BUT very EXPENSIVE the Camaro seatbelts (all third gen) are dual retractors and this place charges $90-$130 per retractor is the quote they sent me So that would be between $180-$260 per front belt then an additional $90-$130 per rear.
