Does anyone know?

I came across a firebird in a local salvage yard that is an AC delete, V8, 5 speed and rear drum brake car. Drivers door and console are gone and the vin is so rusted that it's hard to read. Is this a 1LE car or could you get the AC delete credit by itself ? Thanks, Dave

In the North AC delete is relatively common on any Thirdgen model. It was available by itself. Also, I don't think any 1LEs had drum rear brakes.

a/c was optional not standard equipment,
tons of these cars did not get a/c, and not jut these cars but trucks and other stuff too,

extremely common

Thanks for all the replys! Like I said , I'm new to the 3rd generation body. With the prices that the ist gen camaros are bringing it made sense to find another body style, so I just bought a 27,000 mile, 3.1,1991 RS camaro with an engine knock. I'm planning on removing the ac system and installing a 383 sbc/turbo 400. I took the heater box from this ac delete firebird, hoping it will fit my camaro. Thanks, again!! Dave

removing the AC is verry common modification, just to let you know: you will have to swap out the controlls on the dash with non-AC ones or your fan speeds will not work correctly. this may involve swapping out your heater box under the dash.

at least thats how it worked on my GTA...
