question about gm
alright i have been searching for about a half hour and having no luck trying different things, i was told that on this site in a thread there was a link for gm, what the link is for is the RPO codes and information, you give them your vin # name address and they send you everything about your car(when it was stock obviously) but i can not seem to find the link and if this option even exists anymore
thanks
tom

Re: question about gm
I've never heard of anything like that from GM. I know that the Pontiac Historical Society offers that for pontiacs.

Xophertony : Is it free?
smiley23 : YES
scottmoyer(moderator) : It's free for Camaro owners. Firebird owners go thru Pontiac Historical Services for a fee.

Re: question about gm
The information mentioned in that thread gave you the basics of all Camaros for that year. It includes photocopies of the sales brochure and breaks down all RPO codes available for the Camaro that year. There was another thread that had another email to GM. The results would be the actual invoice for your car with all options and codes for your car. They now charge for this, but's it cool to have.

Do they now charge for the one on this thread? If so does anybody know how much?
How much do they charge for the invoice for your car which is the one on the other thread?

Re: question about gm
the gm invoice with your window sticker basically is 50 dollars, i did it because my rpo sticker was missing, i had an idea of what i had, but it was still well worth it, found out i had the f41 sport suspension, so it was really cool to get

Re: question about gm
its caled the restorationpackage and chevy has been doing it for almsot a decade i have gotten dozens of them for anything from duallies to vans to caprices and so on that i have owned over the years it is a very general package and jut includes a book with addresses and contacts of businesses carrying gm certified parts and services, and a copy of the original dealer options ordering book sheets for the specific year and model
pretty general
but good to have for backup if you cant find an RPO on the internet
its free and they want a vin code nowadays, but they used to not ask for a vin or anything
good luck

Got a e-mail and a phone call telling me my packets are on the way! Wish other groups would respond as well as that. Badman
