1985 Sport Coupe Differences?

Hi guys, I've been searching and trying to figure this out, but coming to no real answer. What is the differnce between Firebird, and Firebird Sport Coupe? Also how do you tell what one is? Does the VIN indicate this somehow?

Thanks

Re: 1985 Sport Coupe Differences?

There is no difference...a Sport Coupe is considered a base model. Now, if you're talking about the rare S/E model that was still (barely) around in 1985, that's a different story, as the S/E was marketed as a luxury model...

FWIW, base model Camaros were called Sport Coupes until the RS model debuted nationwide in '89 (for '87-'88, the RS was a CA-only model)...
