hey all, looked at a camaro sitting in a barn the other day, owner said she'd sell, but hasn't been to the barn in quite a while and don't recall the engine size....the car was locked so all I can go off of is the windscreen vin, from what I can tell the car is a 1986 cause it has the third brake light on the top of the hatch(the only year they put em there I was told)...its a tpi Z28 (badges on rockers say so) with a "F" as the eighth digit in the vin, can anyone tell me if its a 350 or 305 car?????

 

It is a 305 tuned port injection motor (LB9).

 

Vin stickers (only) decode what motor option was orginally installed in the car. If the seller claims it's something other than what was OE, it'll be up to you to locate the engine block casting and or stamped numbers, etc. to validate.
