Looking for restoration pack, having trouble
Called 1-800-222-1020 and they sent me to 586-276-0693 who both of which said they can't offer me anything on my 84' firebird.
... the latter phone number sent me to http://www.phs-online.com/index.html who wants $50? and I'm not sure what to do. $50 is a LOT of money and i'm not sure of all the content I will recieve "maybe they won't be able to find most of the papers that they show?"

Re: Looking for restoration pack, having trouble
I believe its 1987 and older Pontiacs need to go through PHS for a copy of the dealer invoice. They used to be able to do newer Pontiacs but Pontiac recently decided they wanted to be in charge of all the invoices for cars built in the last 20 years.
You get a pretty big packet of info from PHS along with the original invoice for your car. For my '71 Trans Am I got an original 8"x11" '71 T/A press photo, dealer order form, press release of the entire 1971 Pontiac lineup, 2nd-gen Firebird production figures, a huge AMA 1971 Pontiac specifications form booklet, a current Pontiac dealer prochure, and a few other small items.

Re: Looking for restoration pack, having trouble
You arn't going to find it anywhere else. PHS has all of Pontiac/Oaklands records from 1926 to 1987.
For a base '84 Firebird I'd say its not worth it unless you are trying to get every peice of paper that pertains to your car. If it was a Trans Am or some kind of special edition/low production/highly desireable Firebird I'd say go for it.
