Can someone tell me if these are the original hood support shocks for my 1988 IROC?

14019157 is a GM part number.
I just replaced mine on my TTA and it has the same part number but a different manufacturer.
The 309 7 number is probably Gas Springs lot code number.

Just bought new ones this A.M. for my 91' bird > $30.00 for the pair at autozone..... $46.00 previous post, wonder if that was for a pair?

I got my replacements this morning at O'Reilly's and paid $15.99 each with a lifetime warranty. They were easy to replace and it is great to have a hood that stays open without a broom stick!

I thought the 309 might have been the 309th day of 1987. I had the car's original coolant hoses replaced this week and they were date coded October 1987.

I replaced my original hood shocks and they had a rectangular blue sticker on it. I doubt yours are original but don't take my word for it. I got mine for 10 bucks apiece from Rock Auto. Even with shipping I think it was cheaper than O'Reillys.
