Did any '87-'92 Formula350's come with the GTA style crosslaced wheels??? Any breakdown on Formulas w/305 or Formula 350's?? If not, was this an option that could be ordered from the factory on any of these two cars??? Black or gold??? Any info???
I just replaced my aftermarket wheels that came on my '90Formula 350 from previous owner to the black crosslaced style rims and was wondering what I asked above...

 

I saw a couple early Formula's on the lots with the cross laced wheels. At least back in MD when they first hit the dealerships. They were all black. After that, they were all Formula wheels.

 

Yes, in 1991 & 1992 the BLACK crosslaced wheels were an option on the Formula. They were manditory when you ordered the Formula 350 with T-tops in the later half of 1991 and all of 1992.

I have heard rumors of the Black wheels on a 1987 Formula as mentioned by TTA 1387 BUT I have never seen one...

Actually the wheels look really good on the Car IMHO, they look good on any 3rd gen.

Not that I am aware of. The Dealer brochures and Dealer Product Books do not show it as being available. The 1987 book does not for that matter either. 1991 & 1992 Both show the Black wheels as an option IIRC, 1992 for sure.
