I can't remember where but I could swear I heard that the b4cs had a different trans set up that allowed them to shift into 4th at WOT. Am i crazy or is this true?
I tried searching but got no results specific to what I was looking for

EDIT: i found mention of it in the FAQs but it doesn't specify whether it was put in the B4C Camaros or if it was just put in some police cars. I know it is called the b-body fix after doing more research so it makes me think my car didn't come with it

 

The B4C's did come with a different calibrated transmission which allowed the car to stay in 4th gear at WOT to reach speeds over 150mph. The "B-body fix" was a GM parts kit that had the necessary springs, a different servo, and other parts to convert a 700r4 to stay in 4th at WOT. The kit became available for B-Body police cars to allow them to reach higher speeds without down shifting. I have the part number kicking around somewhere, and probably have the kit as well as I recall buying it but never installing it.
