SBC paint colors?
I know that gm has used at least three different paint colors for the small block chevy motors, and many other colors for their other divisions over time. My question is which years did they use which colors, orange from ?? to ??, blue from ?? to ??, and black from ?? to now? I may be trading my 85 T/A for a 79 Camaro that I'm thinking of restoring, and I'd like to do it right. Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I knew it was around the end of the 70's or early 80's that they switched to blue, but I wasn't sure exactly.

FWIW, Chevrolet actually used five colors for their V8's.
Besides the common orange, corporate blue and corporate black, 1956 engines were red. Some early 1957 265CID engines were a funky green color.
