Cargo shade receiver plastic

What years // body designation do I look for to get the cargo receiver plastic from?

We have the pieces on the body & quarter panel interior, but not the one it gets put into that goes on the hatch.
Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Cargo shade receiver plastic

Any '82-92 F-body with the rear cargo shade should work. There was a rear wiper option available from '82-86 and the panel has a large protrushion for the wiper motor so you probably won't want the panel from a car with that.

Re: Cargo shade receiver plastic

There are a few differences from year to year actually... The shade was offered from 82-92, but your best bet if you can't find one that matches your car exactly, would probably be to find a one from any 82-92 donor car and drill out the rivets that hold the steel reinforcement to the plastic panel, transfer the reinforcement to your existing panel, and cut the notches to match.

Otherwise... 82-85 and 91-92 are all pretty much the same, unless the car got the rear wiper as mentioned. 86-89 had a cut out for the 3rd brake light contacts that early and later cars don't have. I want to say that early cars and late cars use a different number of screws, or different screws, or something to that effect.
