L69 Carburetor Number Request

Would anybody who has an original 83 H.O. be willing to look at the numbers on their carburetor? Here's what mine says:
17083205
1223 HPZ

Soon after I bought the car new, I went through the usual hot soak problems and I believe the dealer changed out the carb in one of their attempts to fix it. I'm not sure if they installed a new carb or a used one. I believe it is correct for an L69 but would like to be sure. I'm guessing if it was a factory replacement it would have a different number.

Thanks!

Larry

Sure isn't...

Mine is a 201. Always has been.

205 is the LG4 5-speed one.

Interesting, my hunch about a used carb was probably correct then. Do you have the other codes handy?

They don't too much matter... date codes, shift codes, and such.

The carb part # is the only significant one.

Re: L69 Carburetor Number Request

I've got the original GM parts catalog, it shows 17083205 to be the exact # specific to the 83 L69. That's the right one!

That'd be pretty amazing... I'll have to go dig my old one out, that was on my car new, and check it. Been quite a few years since I looked at it so I could be wrong.
