Center bar question
I've taken the 6 screws out to the 2 pieces that sit on either side of the center bar....but....they will not budge at all and i don't want to bend them because i want to see if i can salvage them before i have to look for new ones. I want to take my center bar off but can't see any screws holding it on. I have my headliner out and can't see where its attached. Do i have to take off the weatherstripping to get to any screws or anything in order to take it off?

Re: Center bar question
i took the two mounting points off at the a and b pillars under the t top hole things, and twisted it slowly and slowly took it out with a large Flathead, but i decided to just replace it so i wasnt being super careful, you can prolly get it out without ripping it if you go REALLY careful

Re: Center bar question
The one on my 85 was glued on so well by the factory that I had to use a pry bar to get it off. There was no way to save my old one (not that it mattered since it was almost completely rusted out anyway). I would definitely try some heat if yours is being stubborn.
