Here is my RPO code list. I was able to decode all but 6 codes using the program on this website, and I have a question about 1 code on the top right.

Unknown codes,
2nd row, 4th col - 1PB - Special paint scheme - (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/post...087-post2.html)
2nd row , 11th col - nb8 - EMISSION OVERRIDE CALIFORNIA SYSTEM EMIS SYS - (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/14724298-post1.html)
3rd row, 2nd col - R6T -
3rd row, 3rd col - R9Z? - CONTROL SALES ITEM NO.100 - (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/post...012-post2.html)
3rd row, 13th col - 1AA? - SALES INCENTIVE RETAIL AMENITIES -- DELETE - (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/post...012-post2.html)
4th row, 1st col - 1AZ - ORDER MODIFICATION ORDERS SOLD - (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/post...012-post2.html)

Top-right code 1fp87, http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca....asp?year=1992
says the code means "1FP87 Camaro Z28, V8", yet I was under the impression my car was just an RS heritage edition. Is that website incorrect, or...what's going on?

As far as I can tell, Z28s never got the L03. So I would assume your car is in fact a Heritage Edition, and the website is wrong. But I may be wrong myself.

As my research indicates, all Camaro coupes (redundancy?) should have that code except the convertibles. Anyone want to verify that?

Notice where your RPO's go straight from Z03 to 1AA? If Z28 was between them, you'd have a Z28... since you don't it's just an RS.

So may of those online resources have issues. 1FP87 indicates a 2-door coupe. According to your SPID, you have a RS (Y86) with Heritage package (Z03). If you had a Z28, you would have Z28 RPO code on the SPID.

Ahhh that makes sense now. I was confused as there's no way this was a z28. That online resource is a .... terrible one at that. I didn't know Z28 was actually the RPO code....I thought it was just a brand differentiation.

Z28 has been the RPO for the package since 1967. It was decided by marketing then to use the RPO for the model's name. As JT stated each of the online sources have issues you have to sort through. And the LO3 (TBI 305)was the standard motor for the Z28 or IROC once the carb motor (LG4) was discontinued.

Re: RPO's...probably asked 1000x times.
If it's for your 1992, go to Compnine.com - Research - VIN Decoder/RPO Finder and enter in your VIN. You should see a list (top list) of all RPO codes for that specific VIN.

In 91 and 92 the 305 TPI was the base motor in US cars. No 91/92 Z28s with LO3s. LO3 was the optional motor in the RS.

Re: RPO's...probably asked 1000x times.
And the 91-91 z28 with tpi and 5 speed were almost as fast as the 5.7. The 305 tpi had something like 225hp and 300 fpt combine that with the 5spd and a 3:42 gear. these little babys would fly

Actually it goes back to 1990 as well...
Base Z28 Engines:
From 82-87 the LG4 (5.0 4BBL)
88 & 89 the L03 (5.0 TBI)
90 - 92 LB9 (5.0 TPI)

starting in 1990, the engine overlap ended for the Camaro...
