91 GTA front GFX p/n difference
Can anyone explain why there are two part numbers for the front GFX for the '91-92 aero package? I bought some replacement NOS pieces for my '91 GTA. The p/n on the piece I bought for the passenger's side (RH) is 10193238. When I removed the original piece that was on the car, the p/n on the inside is 10118502. I did a search and the second number does not come up with anything. The only difference I can tell between the two, is that the '3238' piece had four bolt holes to connect the GFX to the front bumper, whereas the '8502' piece only had three. My bumper cover only had three holes which corresponds to the original piece that only has three holes. Anyone know enough to shed some light on this?

Its possible that gm changed the part #. They probably changed the part to 4 holes later in production instead of the 3 holes that you have. As long as the 3 holes line up with 3 holes on your new part, you shouldnt worry. I work for ford and I see them change part #'s and the part all the time. I've seen ford part #'s changed up to 10 times.

Re: 91 GTA front GFX p/n difference
I'm not worried. The new part fits in place perfectly. The way the two panels come together, the fourth bolt hole is covered up anyway. Just curious if anyone knew about this. Also curious as to know if there was a corresponding p/n change for the bumper cover as well to incorporate the fourth bolt hole. My car was built very early in the production run for that body style so it makes perfect sense if they reinforced that area with another bolt. For those with late '91 or '92 noses, does yours have three or four bolts/screws connecting the GFX and bumper cover?

I think the 91-92 had a 2 piece and a 3 piece style air dam, could be the front gfx corresponded with those.

Yeah part numbers get changed when revisions to the part or suppliers change.. lots of reasons to make it hard to find stuff..
