Any original pictures (either Pontiac ads or personal) of a 1984 Recaro T/A?

I know Brother Al's great looking Recaro T/A has been well documented on this site and others, does anybody have any additional pictures of what this car looked like exactly when it was 1984? Just curious.
There doesn't seem to be enough information about this car out there. Anybody possess more info on this particular T/A?

I was going to buy one brand new in 1984. Was black/with gold stripes/gold N-24 rims/h.o/ 5 speed/tan leather. I see a lot of 84 recaro's but most have wide gold striping like found on w-62 equipped trans am's. I don't remember this recaro having that style of stripes. It was a stripe kit more like the 15th anniv. cars and I recall it going up over the wheel wells.Originally Posted by Chuck84TA

Jeffs82TA, you are correct, '84 Recaro T/As used the same decal striping as the '84 15th Anniversary T/A but in gold. The W62 ground effects were also color keyed in black to the body. A regular black T/A with the W62 Aero Package would have had gold or silver ground effects.
Any '84 Recaro T/A with the wide decal stripes has been repainted and the regular T/A decals installed. Unless something has changed recently, the '84 Recaro T/A decal stripes aren't reproduced.

Hi everyone,
For what its worth, a couple of years ago I helped my Father-in-law acquire an '84 Recaro which he purchased from the original owner who ordered the car. It currently has a little over 16K original miles on it and has never been in rain or inclement weather of any kind. It is completely original except for the tires and battery and still smells new inside. If anyone has questions about how these cars were new, I will be glad to look on this car for you as I believe it would be a good "reference" since every mark and tag is still on it.

My friend has one, not sure what you need, I guess something beyond "well documented"?

I would love to see more pictures of a car that has not been changed from its original condition and is still "mint". Any pics you can post of the interior/exterior I would greatly appreciate! Originally Posted by Jason444

It's very hard to find any pics of these cars in an untampered condition

Chuck,
Here are photos of the engine bay and interior. Looking a little closer, I'm almost positive the alternator has been changed and the belts because its driven now and then. Everything else is a good reference including all factory markings and date coded hoses. The car currently has 16,117 miles on it.

That's great! Can I see some exterior front-back-side to side shots? My Recaro's decals have been removed for one reason or another, so I have no stripes, bird, 5.0 HO, but I still have the bird on the sail panel just aft of the driver and passenger windows. Trying to get an idea what an original looked like so I can try to restore mine to its original condition. Being the 4th owner does not help in that endeavour, so whatever you can send me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again!

I know this may sound rather particular and "****" but would it be possible for you to measure the width of each of the stripes that hug the bottom of the car? It appears that nobody makes decals for the recaro. I dont need it right away, so please take your time if you can...
Thanks again! and btw that is a GREAT looking example!
