power locks and manual windows??
power locks and manual windows??
I have a 89 Iroc that I bought when I was 17. It has power locks, power hatch, but manual windows. I am 29 now and I have yet to see another one like this. I know its nothing special but just curious to know if this was common?

My 89 RS has the same options as your 89 Iroc. Power hatch, power locks, cruise, ac, heater, but no power windows. I had the original owner whom said there were several grades for the preferred option and he chose group 1 which is what you have.

Thanks for the info, my teenage years sure have took a toll on the car. Since I am older now its going under the knife to be put back on the road.

Good luck with the resto...post some pics when you can!!
From what I remember, 88 and 89 Camaros had pretty much 3 specific option groups. I had an 89 RS as well that had power locks, but not windows. A power trunk release was a stand-alone, seperate option.
My 88 IROC is one package short of loaded...has windows/locks/trunk release, but lacks the power mirrors, power seat and Bose stereo of the next package up.

Here is a pick of the car as it sits right now. I travel alot for work so last time I was home I pulled all the interior, and I have a LS1 with 60,000 miles waiting on me to pick it up.

Re: power locks and manual windows??
I've parted out an 85 'bird that had manual windows and power locks. Not to unusual.
My T/A has manual locks and mirrors. It has the pull down hatch but no interior release switch. Basic tape player stereo. LG4 motor w/700R4 and standard suspension package. I do, however, have the deluxe carpeted interior panels LoL!
