I've been researching my RPO codes and I didn't see the Calif. Emissions code on the 89 I just bought. I wasn't really looking for it, I just noticed it in the codes.
The owners manual said it was legal in Calif.... hoping I can smog it.

Re: YF5 code on the 89 G92 I bought.

I didn't see a YF3 code either which is Federal emissions.... so maybe I'm good.

Edit: Reading the emissions lable under the hood says it complies to All 1989 U.S. EPA regulation.... So I think I'm good.

Edit / update: I was good....even though the car wasn't equiped with all the Calif smog stuff, it is still OK to register it in Calif, and It passed smog just fine.
