i bought a 1983 Firebird S/E last year as a project car body is rock solid the inside needs a complete tear and rebuild im rebuilding the engine the car was painted solid lime green with no decals im having trouble finding what decals if any were on it any body can help would be great
Re: decals
My old '82 SE was dark grey metallic and had light grey decals all along the rocker panels. It had no other emblems or decals aside from S/E emblems on the exterior of the sail panels, and of course the normal FIREBIRD emblems on the fenders.
Hopefully someone on here has a virgin unmolested one to verify, I don't see them often. Is yours a V6 or V8? I had the V6 and swapped an '83 auto into it so I had overdrive lol.
What color was yours originally? Lime green sounds awful haha, sounds like it would have been like a ******* skittle lol.
Mine looked like this but without the dealer added print stripe along the top, and of course the aftermarket wheels. In this photo you can just barely make out the S/E emblem on the sail panel. It's a good example to look at aside from those 2 things: http://www.specialtysales.com/vehicles/7166 Note the thin lines at the top of the light grey portion in some of the pics of the rear, I remember that to be correct. The tail light center section is also correct, of course your '83 would have had the clear backup lights that the '82 didn't. Looking at that car is like looking at a ghost for me, wonder why it doesn't have the carpet on the rear plastics tho? I know it was an option but I've never seen one without. I wonder if the front kick panels even have the carpet? I do miss the extra interior lights down there tho I wish my '92 had.

Here is another good example showing the emblems better, I've never seen shiny ones tho, only the solid black ones, aside from the one in the headlight of course.
