Reproduction Window Stickers
I've read a few threads on here about the reproduction window stickers from window-sticker.com. I have yet to see one of the reproductions from 1986. I ordered mine a few days ago, and I am just curious to see one that they have made for an 86 IROC. I found a picture of an original 86 sticker for comparison. Thanks!

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
I got a email today from the guy that is making it with a proof photo. From what I can tell, it looks really good.

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
I finally got my reproduction window sticker. Only question I have is shouldn't it say something about the interior color? I have the custom gray cloth, and it's not shown there.

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Thanks for the help. I'll email him now and see if he will send a replacement. Is there no difference noted for interior options color?Being that I have the custom gray cloth? Everything was listed as AR9? Then the color interior is noted?

Actually on an '86 Z28, the line would read:
AR9 FQQ2 GRAY CUST CLOTH BUCKET 359
AR9 is the seat option, but the Fxxx code denotes the color. FCC2, FQQ2, FRR2, etc.

Hey Thern,I think(not positive) you should have a few more digits just under your vin.no.also, as in the sample that gt4373 posted.

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Thanks for the help everyone. I sent an email to the guy and he seems pretty pissed at me for not catching it. Sorry man, but if you want to make a correct sticker, it should have been there in the first place. Still awaiting a response from him.
Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
If you do a search for window-sticker.com on these boards, you'll find a few posts where the guy gets angry when you tell him that he created the sticker incorrectly. If I remember correctly, he's even refused to fix the problem on someone. I did tell the Corvette Museum staff about this as he is the one that makes all of the Corvette window stickers. I told them that he isn't very friendly or accurate on Camaros.

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Yeah I saw a bunch of those posts as well. However, I did get a response from him this afternoon and he is sending a replacement to include the missing interior option with little hassle. The other posts had me worried, but as long as he is keeping to his word and sending the updated one, I'll be relatively happy. It's just odd that you have to go through all these steps to get the sticker, including sending all the RPO codes and something like this gets missed.
Everyone makes mistakes. But it does seem an odd one to have missed, if every car has "a" code for interior color. It's not like it was an obscure option. Thread Starter

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Exactly! That's why I thought it was such an odd thing to miss when I sent you every code my car came with. Once I get the new one, I'll post a pic. Big thanks to Scott for helping get the correct wording and option price so I could send it over to get it added.
Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
All I can say is good luck to you!!! Here is some of what happened to me back on a thread, Re: exact window stickers now available, back in March 2011.
Previously I had bought 3 other window stickers from Triple A Enterprises who makes them for PHS. They were all correct and they had no errors and I was very satisfied with all of them.
But I was very disappointed with the last window sticker that I ordered from Jim Mattison of PHS-Automotive Services back in November of 2010. You now have to go through PHS to get a window sticker for a Pontiac.
It was for a 1988 GTA notchback that I had recently bought. When I ordered the window sticker it came back riddled with mistakes.
Such as the first item on the window sticker that said it had a 5.7 TBI engine, which no 3rd gen ever had, the car had leather interior, it said it had cloth, other options it had weren't listed, and ones it didn't have were listed.
I contacted Jim Mattison who I spoke to directly and he contacted Triple A Enterprises and tried to help me get it fixed. I have no problem with the efforts that Jim Mattison did to resolve the problems. He did everything he could to help fix the mistakes and problems with the first window sticker. Triple A Enterprises probably would not have redone it if Jim Mattison had not got involved. I thank him greatly for all his efforts.
Other than the factory invoice I sent to them I also sent a factory original window sticker for a 1988 Pontiac GTA notchback that I located so they could get it right the second time at Triple A Enterprises. They apparently didn't have a generic template for a notchback GTA or something because the first window sticker they made me was totally wrong. On the second all they had to do was type it correctly from an original I had sent and change the Vin# and other specifics for my car, which they couldn't transcribe correctly.
After two tries to get a window sticker without mistakes Triple A Enterprises said they wouldn't correct the errors on a third one and they were going to refund my money.
Well, nobody else can make the window stickers for a Pontiac as far as I know so I was out of luck if I didn't just accept the mistake ridden one they made for me. It was full of errors in comparison to an original I sent to them to duplicate.
At this point Triple A Enterprises got extremely rude with me. They said take it or leave. They wouldn't do any more corrections to make it an exact reproduction, which was as easy as copying the one I provided.
I can post all my e-mails with them if you want to see what I went through in an attempt to get a correct window sticker. Your stuck with what they provide for you because I don't think anyone else is allowed to make these window stickers. If anybody knows of anyone else who makes them for Pontiacs let me know because I still don't have one that is a correct reproduction and would like to get one.
This was my last experience with this company. If you find errors in your window sticker, as in my case you can almost forget about getting them fixed. You might get lucky like I did with the first 3 window stickers I ordered and not have to go through what I did.

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
For one, it was a picture that was taken a little far away, and when I tried to zoom in, the wording became very pixilated. So yeah I did miss it, and when it came in the mail, I immediately noticed that there was no mention of the interior at all. So I emailed him to let him know. He said he will get it replaced and in the mail ASAP. So, fingers crossed hoping that it comes correctly this time! I copied and pasted exactly what Scott said it should be, as well as the cost for the option. Thread Starter

I don't know why I try sometimes...I got the replacement in the mail yesterday, and to no real surprise, it's wrong again!!! I sent him exactly what it should have said, AR9 FQQ2 GRAY CUST CLOTH BUCKET $359.00, and the replacement says AR9 CQQ2 GRAY CLOTH BUCKET $28.00!!!! Seriously!!! I sent you exactly what needed to be there!!!! He said another replacement is on the way today. Once, again, I hope it's right this time!!!

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
The mistakes this guy makes were as simple as the ones on yours. All he had to do was copy another original I had sent him and change the Vin#. After not getting it right the third time he refunded my money and said he wouldn't do another??????
It looks like nothing has changed since my experience with them. It is sad that they are the only ones I know of that are contracted or whatever arrangements they have with GM to make these window stickers!
Once again, good luck!

Yes, this is the standard interior. I have the custom, top of the line, interior for 1986 which is what I told him and emailed him exactly what it should say! I just don't understand why it came back to me with the standard interior if I told him exactly what needed to be there!!!

They finally got it right! Good for you. The only thing I'm wondering about now is the 8 different numbers and letters that should be below the Vin# in the upper right corner of the window sticker that isn't on your reproduction window sticker. I see that the original ones have that on them. Does anyone know what those are there for on an original window sticker?

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
That 8 digit number is associated with the assembly number. Look at my window sticker and the radiator support tag. The full 8 digit code, starting with the A0, is located in the top right corner of your build sheet if you have that in box 24 and also box 1 on the left side of the build sheet.

And the other nos.(04-163 114A6V) on your sticker are the Dealers No.& Invoice nos.
Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Mr moyer, you seem to know quite a lot about this window sticker business. if I may, I have a few questions for you. I ordered the factory invoice for my car from the GM heratige center. however it does not list all the options my car has. I would like to order a window sticker but how does one get it right? any advice you can give?

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Actually, the 114A6V isn't the invoice number. It's the dealer order number. I wasn't aware of that until you mentioned it and I checked my invoice. My invoice number is much longer than that number so I kept looking and found it listed as the order number.

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Just noticed mine are screwed up too.I had ordered a packet from PHS about 4-5 years ago ,well about a year ago I misplaced the window sticker,so I had ordered another one, and in the mean time I had found the lost one,so after reading Tkern's post(today)I noticed that the replacement was different than the 1st one(Dealer Order No.) and the Dealer Sheet(Order No.) was different,(looks like a typo),the replacement was way off.
So now I guess I have to go through what Tkern is going through.I can't believe I never noticed this before today

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
These small errors are exactly what I have gone through. Now bring it to the attention of the company that says they will make a reproduction of the original like I have in the past and see if a 4th time is a charm.
Call it what it truly is "a reproduction close to the original", not the original, this might be as good as it gets.
If Scott Moyer handled these window stickers for us folks who want a reproduction as close to original as possible you would see a much better product. This is because he has an interest to the details as we do and lots of knowledge to back it up.

Well,I just got a reply from PHS, because I waited so long to tell them about THEIR ERROR, Basically telling me,tough $#!T.
Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Well mantaguy, I found errors right off the bat and couldn't get them fixed right. It will be interesting to see if TkernIROC1986 who seems to be trying as hard as I did to get one made as right as possible will have any luck with his 4th correction request. They will probably say that he didn't catch it within 24 hours so it is too late. It will be interesting to see what excuse will be used this time?

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
I really thought PHS were standup guys,I guess I thought wrong!!
Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
It isn't PHS that is the problem. Jim Mattison who has ran PHS for years isn't the problem. He tried to help me as much as he could with the window sticker. It is the company that has the contract with GM to make the window stickers that has issues with these reproduction window stickers. PHS doesn't make them but you have to go through PHS first for some reason. As I have experienced it you have to go to PHS first then they forward it to the window sticker company. Unlike the camaro window stickers which you first have to send a vehicle invoice to them directly then they will try, try ,try to make as correct as possible window sticker for you.
Like I have said before. If I could get one through anybody else I would. Just as many others are probably saying!!!!!!!!!!!!
