There's a lot more there, but I figure 2 similar examples might help.
Anyone have anything on the red '88 that became Chevy's Angry Poodle, then HRM got it, then Gale Banks got it, I want to see the lit & pix from before HRM got it.
There was a red '91-'92 Z28 that got a 502 or 509. Had black louvers on the back window. Wanting to see that lit / pix also.
Can't find the original C&D feature on the Big Doggie 'vette, nor the feature of the then-new ZR1, red, with the matching Baja 223 Bandit sport boat, on matching red trailer with ZR1 wheels & tires on the trailer. The 223 had an LT5 in it. Anyone have this?
And if anyone has any of that, then how about the white square-body 2WD S-10 on '91-'92 Z28 wheels, red interior, and TBI 454 looking assembly-line installed by Cal Nicholson of Apple Chevrolet, in New York, as I recall?
TGO's own magazine articles library is missing another old one, a blue IROC, IIRC, given high praise against imports.

I have a car from California that has that exact same flowmaster exhaust on it up to the dual cats but has edlebrock headers & Y pipe.

Great stuff cosmick!

Back in the late 80's there was a 454 LS-6 powered IROC out at the Mesa AZ proving grounds. At the time I knew a guy who worked out there who I would speak with often, (he had a 68 RA Firebird) & he said it was a real handful when you got on it. He tried to buy it when they were done beating on it unfortunately it was dismantled and crushed.

Re: from '91:

The thanks goes to Paul Huryk, whom I greatly dislike, but who created something worth linking to. There's much more there, but not the ones I'm hoping someone else has.
I remember the hoopla about the last of the crase LS6s and LS5s, then the new Gen V marine 454 filling the gap.
The red '88 I'm referencing was a hardtop with silver ground effects, the '85-'87-style IROC-Z wheels, and a 700R-4. When HRM had it, it has a chrome 14" open air cleaner, and the '91 aluminum valve covers with the red 454 stickers, not the production 454 truck valve covers which were similar but lacking a place for the stickers. It's been so long that I can't even recall now if the 454SS sport model got the stickers & covers or not.

Re: from '91:

I stumbled upon the article on taking an 87 LG4 from 16.x 1/4 mile time to 14.85 seconds... And that was basically changing the intake, air cleaner and the exhaust... I converted from an LG4 to TPI and accomplished the same thing, but I added a cam, and rear axle ratio is now 3.73... I am wondering if I would have been better off sticking with the LG4 now...
