3rd Gen representative for Camaro collection?
With the introduction of the 6th gen Camaro, I thought it might be fun to assemble a Camaro collection representing all 6 generations. In my case, the collection would be virtual since I can only have 1 toy car at a time. But it’s fun to fantasize…
So – which 3rd gen Camaro earns the spot behind the velvet rope?
1st – 69 Z28
2nd – 73 Z28 4 speed
3rd – 89 IROC 5 speed 1LE
4th – 02 SS 6 speed
5th – 14 Z28
6th – 16 SS 6 speed
A good alternative for a 3rd might also be an 83 L69.
Any better ideas?

I love the look of the early third gens!! There is no question as to what years these cars were made!!! I vote for an 82, 83, or 84 for sure!!

Re: 3rd gen representative for Camaro collection?
It's OK because it's sorta history and I wanna play! Except I'm using multiple choices and an explanation lol.
1st: 67/68/69 Z28 or 69 ZL1
2nd: 70 1/2 Z28 and 77 Z28
3rd: 87 350 IROC-Z28, 83 Z28 H.O. M5, 89 IROC-Z 1LE 305 M5
4th: 97 SS and 02 35th SS
5th: 2012 ZL1 and 2015 Z28
Basically I picked mostly the game changers. The 1sts are because every year Z28 was significant in it's own way and the ZL1 was the king of the musclecar era. The 2nds because the 70 1/2 Z28 featured the most powerful factory hot rodded 350 to date then and the 77 Z28 started off a super popular design for it's day. The 3rds because the first H.O. and L98 cars were what brought back performance to the Camaro and the 89 IROC-Z 1LE because it was the last year before the blah interior and you want a manual for road racing. T-Tops of course.
The 4ths because the 97 SS was the last most powerful car before the LS1 meh catfish bumper came out and the 02 35th for being the last/best performing of the generation. The 5ths because of the first year ZL1 and the last of the epic 15 Z28.
I'm interested to hear what Charlie, Scott, and Jason pick for this.

I think when you are doing a collection like this it either needs to be the first or the last year of each generation.

That one is owned by gm but it's almost exactly the same. That one has a red interior, radio delete, and 1000 less miles. Otherwise it's the same, nice car!
