I'm still on there, only because they sometimes post some interesting cars. I've just learned to ignore the admins, though.Originally Posted by GASPEDDLER

There are 2 thirdgens at my house Charlie that might have something to say about that! Originally Posted by chazman

I meant regular 3rd gens - not yours!

Well you have no problem telling people what their cars are worth or not worth so I thought you might need to what yours are worth! And yes I do know what I'm talking about thank youOriginally Posted by ray jr
You obviously have no idea what your talking about so please go comment on somebody else's stuff .. Supreme Member
Well Charlie one of them is an NVH disaster, and the other doesn't have it's big brakes installed yet, so depending on what criteria we're judging by, I'm still 30yrs behind. Oh and neither of them have ABS or traction control and one doesn't have AC, Cruise or a radio LOL
Joking aside, I've seen more and more often people willing to put significant amounts of money in these cars. I read an article with Bruce Hawkins recently where he made similar comment. The cars are appreciating, some of us never thought we'd see the day. I'm still stuck in the late 90s when these cars were dirt cheap so I've had to adjust my thinking as well.
I don't think there is some arbitrary ceiling either. What was top dollar 10 years ago is vastly different than top dollar today, and will be different than top dollar in another 10 years. Look at what has happened to late 70s F-cars in the last 5 years. They have exploded to levels I never thought would happen. This will force more people into 3rd gens which will in turn drive prices up from where they are now, it's just a matter of time.

You are sooo right on on this. Well said.
10 yrs ago I told my buddies and myself we should be buying up all these $3000- $4000 Burt Renolds TA's. They all said I was nuts and the cars were POS smoggers. I did not listen to myself. My mistake. Not sure what point the same will happen to 3rd gens, but make no bones about it...IT WILL!
