A/C Compressor Markings
I'd like to verify which A/C compressor I should have on my 1991 Formula. The car had a replacement compressor on it when I bought it, and another I have off a parts car seems a little off...
The replacement compressor uses "sealing washers" which are basically a rubber seal bonded inside a steel washer, that is compressed between the hose manifold and the compressor body. Meanwhile, the parts car compressor is machined for typical O-rings. Which is correct?
I've also been looking for a good view of the decal used in 1991. This is the one off the parts car, but I'm not sure if it's correct or if it may have not been original to the 1991 Formula it came from.

The 1991 service manual shows that the switch on the back of the compressor should be RED, yet both compressors I've got here have a white or slightly yellowed switch. I have a compressor with a red switch, but it uses the earlier wiring connector for the clutch... I'm assuming the book is wrong, and the white switch is correct for 1991.
On a related note, I'm finding that the original A/C accumulator/drier isn't available anymore. Even the ACDelco replacements have different wrench flats, and the shape of the can is slightly wrong. I suppose it's just another of those little details a person has to live with if they want functional air conditioning.
