Were key guards an original option?

I have not seen this on any other car or online so I figured I'd ask the experts. Were these available from the factory or dealership? Thank you in advance

Shot in the dark. Do you know where I would go to get some reproductions made?

Might have been sold at the dealership parts counter at one time. Were definitely available at places like Pep Boys and Kragen.

These days? I don't recall seeing them for sale in a few decades. Maybe ebay (ebay UK has carbon fibre ones) or an ancient auto parts store in East Rusty Egypt might have a few sets hanging on a peg.

Re: Were key guards an original option?

Today you could not buy them with "Camaro" unless licensed. GM is getting pretty persnickety about that. They might be a Dealer thing, but remember most cars today only have one door key lock, that is on the drivers side, just because of remote entry.

Ah okay, thanks for the info everyone! I think the missing color from these is on the inside from when they were removed and put back on most likely. If I ever get them off again I imagine I can just touch those spots up with silver
