85 L69 M5 IROC?

I didn't see it on page one, and really don't wanna read 100+ pages to find out how rare it is, lol! Found a nice looking one for sale, going to check it out soon as I can. I don't remember the last time I saw an L69 IROC, especially with a five speed. 85 was the last year for the l69, correct? And most of the ones that pop up for sale are usually 83-84 Z's. Not really looking for another car to keep, but if I could get it at the right price I'd grab it. Drive it for the rest of the summer then sell it next spring to someone on here

They made some 2,000 85 IROC-Z L69's. You could only get the 5 speed with the L69.

86 was the last year for the L69. They made 74 86 L69's, however I have yet to see a pic of one.

Buy that 85. A real unique car for sure.

Re: 85 L69 M5 IROC?

I did a little research after I posted that... One tidbit I never knew (or maybe I just forgot in my old age) was that you couldn't get the ho in an 85 Z, only the IROC. The guy that has it bought it from the original owner in around 1992. He's asking 4k for it. Not gonna haggle till I actually go look at it.

The car should always have some appeal to Thirdgen Camaro enthusiasts. Fun to kick open the quadrajet secondaries. Makes extra underhood sound. Gearing will be 3.73; also fun. And an IROC to boot.

Re: 85 L69 M5 IROC?

I have only ever seen one. It was a yellow car on one of the FaceBook pages I am a part of. It didnt have the L69 In it anymore. It did however have the Rpo code sheet to Prove it was a L69 car. Such a shame now-a-days that people just get rid of L69s for 350s etc. Not to many cars left. I looked for years for the right Iroc to buy. I was able to find a sliver, TPI, Lear Siegler interior, the works. Before I was able to find a 85 L69 car.
