On Third Gen cars, where are they typically located? And where's the strangest place you found one stuffed?

I found mine on my early 1989 GTA (Built in fall 1988) wedged high in the spare tire well (like, on top of the wheel arch area). It was purposely stuffed up there, not just set.

Understand they can also be found under the front passenger seat. Is that typical?

What have you found, and where?

I've yet to find one. Couldn't count all the thirdgens I've pulled interior from. The ones I have found, have been the partial sheet between the foam and springs of passenger's seats.

There's no rule to them. Some cars never had them left in the car. Others get lost along the way. Still more end up stuck to the carpet or floor pan and are all but destroyed.

In theory, I have two cars that might still have them. But you won't ever catch me tearing a car down trying to find something that's probably not there.

I found one sheet on top of the gas tank (somehow it was still dry!) and another under the carpet in the cargo area.

The original owner had a mini build sheet, I found another when I did the carpet. Both in really great shape due to being a low mile car. Have the window sticker from it as well.

Never did find the build sheet in my 82 and I gutted that car completely. I never even saw any remnants of a build sheet, just nothing. I looked everywhere. I did however, find a slightly used pair of gray gloves with a GM insignia on them under the carpet in the very back of the hatch. Must have been quitting time and they were tossed in there for the day and no one noticed when they put the carpet in.

Pulled all 4 seats, nothing... Where else could it be hiding?

On Corvette, they stuffed into pass front frame. But where else on F-Body?

Probably went to the trashcan at the factory then to some random landfill.

My 87 (Norwood) was under the carpet above the catalytic convertor hump on the passenger side.

How about on VAN (Van Nuys) cars? 1989, specifically? TIA.

The Only One's Left In The Cars Were By The Assembly Line Workers Who Were To Lazy To Throw Them In The Trashcan.

In my 1984 original survivor trans am built in Norwood I simply removed the driver side back seat and there it was just laying there in excellent condition, I got very lucky!
