If that’s the car that was owned previously by a member here, I believe that car had well over 100k miles on from reading threads with info about it. Very hard to believe as nice as that car looks, but then again there’s a huge difference between 100k hard miles and 100k very well cared for miles. Obviously someone not only meticulously cared for that car, but also got to enjoy it quite a bit!

I agree that’s just not knowing the market. Nobody’s paying that for a 100k mile third gen. Nobody but him. Lol

The Red Formula was Chris's Car (PurelyPMD) and he sold it out east for the upper teens. It was damaged coming off of the auction block and then repaired. It is a 1LE, and rare considering it has factory T-tops... The down side it had something around 133,000 miles or something.

Yes I remember the car from on this website.Rare.. Kinda... but its not like its a TTA or Firehawk rare come on.. With 133k mi it certainly wasn't worth that IMO. At 9k that's more like it.

Re: couple more barrett jackson results

Pontiac made
1,555 TTA's
25 B4U SLP Firehawks, (20 had 1LE)
47 1991 (7 were B4U cars) - going off of memory here
20 1992 (14 of which were B4U cars)

Rare is relative, The car also had T-tops, which breaks it down a little further
1991 - 8 W66/LB9/MM5/1LE/CC1
1992 - unknown... (less than 10)

So really the car is more rare than a Firehawk or a TTA... Just not as sought after, but cool nonetheless.

Not disclosed... It was Chris's car, he might know... But he has not mentioned what it was, if he did I do not remember seeing it.

Ok maybe it was "rare". And don't get me wrong I love the car, id love to have it I think it would be a blast to drive and it looks freaking great.. But at the end of the day its really just another 305 car I don't see it being worth an astronomical amount of $ with the mileage and so forth is all I was trying to say. I think it brought way more than its worth at 17k.

Re: couple more barrett jackson results

I think you would be surprised how well a LB9/M5 car runs compared to a LB9/A4 car... It was a purpose built Race car, with the odd option of T-tops, which makes it kind of unusual for sure... Keep in mind no Camaro 1LE came with T-tops... only a handful of Formulas and Trans Ams...

Yes, ive driven them and have to agree and I would rather have an LB9 or L69 5spd over an L98 Auto car to be honest. No argument there
