History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!
There are a ton of good people here that are more than willing to help people out. There are a lot of info experts here, for sure. I am definitely NOT one of those guys, but I learn a bunch here, too.....
Go to post #28 in that thread. It shows new old stock GM decals with the measurements on the pics. Measurements are from the front door edges....and the distance above the stripe
Ok, this bolt goes through the cars pinch weld. The pinch weld needs to be straight vertically, and the bolt needs to be straight horizontally. They (pinch welds) actually bend pretty easily. That bolt holds on the bottom of the fender. So if you get that straightened out, it will line up the fender. You can get a vice grip or something on that pinch weld, or bolt, pry on it and you can watch the fender suck back in.
That's crazy. I'll do that tomorrow nite. With your parts car you have that you showed me the taillights, does it have factory exhaust manifolds on it? Mine has headers and I want to go back to factory so was thinking instead of looking around locally for manifolds, if you had them, I would take them and the taillights together in a package if that would be an option for you.
I'll have to see if the exhaust manifolds are there. The engine was gone when I bought the car, but it seems like the manifolds might be there. The car is at my brothers farm an hour away from where I live. I'll check the next time I'm out there
Oh, don't worry about it. I didn't realize they are an hour away. And being snowstorms going through midwest, its not worth the drive... I'll look around here and see what I can find. I'm also looking for a factory Delco AM/FM/Cassette player with 5 band EQ.

If you are looking for a radio, check with the member John In RI. He is a factory radio wizard and I think usually has factory radios on hand. I had him fix the one in my IROC and he did AWESOME. He sent a video of everything working before he shipped it back to me, etc. And, very reasonably priced. I'd recommend him 100000%
Its in front of the bolt you circled. Its right after the wheel well you can see in black. The bolt in the clip goes vertical. The front side of it is what is broken.

I'll have to look under mine when I get the chance. I would say it's nothing to be overly concerned about, though
I appreciate it man. Not worth it. I see you are in Iowa and I know what February is like up there. I grew up in northern Illinois on a farm so going out driving around in February wasn't fun.... Hahaha...
Also, John In RI can put aux ports in the factory radios. I had him put one in mine. He can put them in the radio face, or put a cord out the back of the radio. I had him put one in mine, and I chose the cord out the back since I'm kind of an originality geek. I have the cord coming into the ashtray so it's totally hidden when I close the lid. It works great!
