History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!
That is nice. If I was still in Pittsburgh, I'd be tempted to take a look at that. I can't say that I recall Trans Ams in that color. Although you'd think that blue would be a pretty popular choice. They had Maui Blue, at least in a Formula.
It's about an hour from me. I'd love to have it in the garage next to my blue IROC. But if i take my uncle sam money to buy it uncle sam may come take all my cars lol
they offered a bright blue in 1989 but the lowers were silver .. probably a repaint ..
The silver accents would have looked hella-goofy with gold GTA wheels. I'd expect an 89 like this to have silver ground effects and silver/charcoal/gray/whatever wheels to match rather than gold. Looks like maybe someone decided to change things up a bit and throw the factory color wheel in the trash and do their own thing.
Its mine. He's right it started its life blue and silver w/ silver gta wheels but It just didnt look right to me so I made some changes. Its a real nice t/a and well deserving of another good owner. Im heading towards a tta.

It looks terrific. If I was still living in Pittsburgh, I might be coming to see you.
When I saw it, I thought it didn't look quite right, meaning original. Those wheels on a non-GTA. And I was also thinking that I'd never seen that blue without two-tone. Great color.

Thanks a lot man. I appreciate it. The wheels though, are in fact original. I just painted them GTA gold from their original silver.
