Accidentally stumbled on this 1990 IROC when browsing FaceBook marketplace. I've had it for a few months, but figured I'd go ahead and share it with everyone.
It has some weird T-Tops that were installed back when it was purchased. I still have the paperwork and warranty registration card for them. Unfortunately, they aren't in business anymore lol.
Skylite Venting T-Roof by C&C Concepts. Installed with 1,144 miles on the car on May 5th, 1990 in Post Falls, ID.
I think it's kind of neat seeing how my car has been all over the country and is still in good shape. I brought it home to Kentucky from Florida, but it was originally purchased somewhere in Washington state.
Very nice! LOVE the color combo. ....and love those T tops too! Deeznuts94 (Brian?) has on his z28 too. Not many of 'em out there. While I can't speak for how well they work as I've never seen 'em in person, I think it's an awesome concept.

It’s my favorite color combo! I wish it was a hardtop like it was from the factory, but oh well... The t-tops look to be great quality. It’s cool that you can open each one like a pop-up sunroof. Only major downside is if I needed parts for them in the future. I’d almost rather get the roof re-skinned. Not worth it atm though.

It feels more powerful than my 1988 5.7TPI G92 car. Perhaps the rear end difference is the key? 3.27 vs 3.42
I wouldn't think the rear gearing would have that much effect, however, just being a manual probably does.
As I was first skimming through the photos, I saw the undercarriage and thought the floor pans had been replaced. At quick glance, they look like natural steel. I had to do a double take.

I think that Florida sand that is all over the car gave it that illusion. It prolly has 10 pounds of sand embedded in it lol.

Some replacement parts and new seals are available for the Cars and Concepts T-Tops. The Sunroof Doctor carries them.

When new they should have performed pretty similar. I'd say your 350 car is probably not in optimal tune if you can feel that much of a difference. I'd say more than half the time a customer brings me a thirdgen, I discover issues with the state of tune. When they get the car back they can't believe what they'd been missing this whole time. Most of the time it's ignition timing related or TPS related. Other times it's fuel pumps or fuel injectors, these cars are getting pretty darned old to be expecting original injectors and fuel pumps to be working properly. Unless you've got slicks or 180 tread wear tires on the back, a healthy L98 car with 3.27 gears should be able to easily spin the stock sized tires pretty hard from a dead stop with no brakes applied on an average street.
Sounds like i may need new injectors! I've been thinking about it for awhile now, but haven't replaced them, so 33 years old, might be bogging my car down. It still feels stout, but I just assumed the new tires were sticky and not allowing for the burnout.

My 5.7 car will destroy the tires! Perhaps my 5.0 car feels faster is because I can manipulate the power better since it's a 5-speed.
