I just picked up a new iroc-z here is a picture and the centre console sticker, vin is matching!
I think this is a real iroc z because of the z28 code.
Can the forum members enlighten me a little bit on what exactly I am dealing with in regards to the other codes, interior is red...

Your car is a 1988. You have the Z28 code. All Z28s for 1988 were IROCs.
Car is a Z49 code, so it's a Canada car and will have metric gauges. Otherwise, it's fairly typical and the codes can be searched (LB9 - 305TPI, MX0 - automatic transmission, etc.)
You have kind of interesting car in that it's a LB9, auto, G92. You have a 3.23 rear axle ratio vs the standard 2.73 and a KC4 oil cooler. I'm guessing that you also have a 145 mph speedo.
