92 z28
I was just wondering if my car is up to par with other 92 l98 z's. I ran a 14.3 @97mph. My car is basically stock and just want to know if this time comparable to other stock 92 z28's?The car also has 50k on the clock. thanks.

From what I remember reading in various magazine tests, I'd say that is in the ballpark. I remember one or two magazines getting a 14.0 or 13.9, others were as high as 14.6.
Your car sounds dead nuts on track. That is pretty much what all of my good ones have ran. Now remove the ridge in the plenum, airfoil, flowmaster catback(one tailpipe), underdrive pullies, gut airbox, and a good tune up and you will be in the high 13's. If you want to mod it that is.
I have tual tips out of my flowmaster muffler. Its not the american thunder exhaust. Its stock sized 3 inch intermediate with the flow muffler and dual outlets. I'm not sure what series muffler it is, but it doesn't sound badd a@# like the american thunder. I had the american thunder on my 87 IROCz with dual 3 inch tips. As for the other things that you mentioned i'll have to give them a try. 13's would be nice. thanks!
i changed my induction and added headers with true 3" to a 2 chamber flowmaster and i run solid 13.9 but that was in really cold weather with street tires and my first time at the track; hitting 13.6-13.7 was done when i wasn't sleeping at the light. again, all stock motor.
now with the N20 and the better suspension........that's a different story.
