Pretty nice car.
Interesting [to me] original price of $17,700. I bought a Formula new in 1990. It had a TBI 5.0 V-8 with 170 HP. My sticker was over $17,000. I don't remember the exact price, but I know it was in the 17s. I actually think it was $17,700.
At the time, I was young, wanted a Firebird, and didn't really shop around all that much. My Dad and I went to a Pontiac dealer and I saw the white Formula that I really wanted. I drove away happy for the next eight years. Maybe if I had shopped around, I could have had 75 more HP at virtually the same cost. I don't recall having much inventory to look at and I did prefer a Formula to a Trans Am. It was February of 1990, the 1990 model year had been cut short. and I wanted to grab one of the last '90s out there because I didn't like the '91 front end nearly as well.
