Everything Motion is aftermarket. Even in the 60s and 70s, Baldwin Chevrolet partnered with Motion Performance to build special cars.
Years ago, I spoke with Joel Rosen about 3rd gen Motion cars and he stated they do exist, but not the same way they did in the 60s and 70s. He said that they were a performance shop and upgraded cars the way the customer wanted, so there was nothing specific that would make a 3rd gen a "Motion" Camaro. He likened it to a Choo Choo Customs, SLP or even ASC with aftermarket mods being applied to any car.
So, while the badge is definitely aftermarket, could there be Motion Performance applied parts to the car? Sure. But, Joel Rosen stated that the only records kept on 3rd gens were the customer sales records for warranty on the parts/labor. There is no special edition Motion Camaro in 1983.
